Frequently asked questions

A quick peek at the most asked questions. See the full FAQ for details.

What is Pipster?
Pipster is a proprietary trading firm for traders who want to treat trading like a real profession, refining their edge, becoming consistently profitable, and working toward full-time trading with firm capital and professional-level resources.
How does the evaluation work?
Our evaluation process operates entirely in a simulated trading environment. We offer three challenge types: One Phase Challenge (10% target profit, 4% daily drawdown, 9% max drawdown, 5 min trading days, 60-day limit), Two Phase Challenge (Phase 1: 10% target, 4% daily, 8% max drawdown, 5 days, 60-day limit; Phase 2: 5% target, 5% daily, 10% max drawdown, 3 days, 60-day limit), and Funded Account (Instant) which bypasses evaluation with 3% daily drawdown and 10% trailing max drawdown.
What are the minimum trading days?
Pipster Lite: 3 minimum trading days in each phase. Pipster Pro: 3 minimum trading days total. Weekends allowed unless otherwise restricted by your strategy or platform’s session.
What are the loss limits?
Loss limits vary by challenge type. Daily Drawdown: One Phase 4% (eval) / 5% (funded), Two Phase 4% (P1) / 5% (P2 & funded), Funded Account 3%. Maximum Drawdown: One Phase 9% (eval, static) / 8% (funded, static), Two Phase 8% (P1, static) / 10% (P2 & funded, static), Funded Account 10% (trailing, stops at 96% threshold). Breaching either limit results in evaluation failure or funded account termination.
When and how do I get paid?
Simulated payout eligibility is calculated bi-weekly. Requirements: complete minimum trading days (5 by default), maintain positive simulated profit, comply with all rules, meet minimum payout amount ($100), and adhere to consistency rule (no single day can represent more than 15% of total profit). Profit split is 80-90% depending on your challenge configuration.
Are fees refundable?
Your evaluation fee is credited/refunded on pass per plan terms. If you used a promo code (e.g., LAUNCH20), the net paid amount is credited. Resets and second-chance options are available.
